What VentMatch is

VentMatch is an anonymous stress-relief and peer-support tool. You speak or type a complaint; we show you an anonymous, normalized summary of your situation, how many others have vented about the same thing, and similar anonymous situations. It is not a forum, not social media, and not a messaging service. There are no accounts, no direct messages, and no follower relationships. It contains no adult, sexual, violent, or gambling content.

Operator

VentMatch is an independent product operated by Zengming Chen (sole proprietor). Payments and billing are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd as merchant of record.

Not a medical or crisis service

VentMatch is not therapy, counseling, or crisis care. If what you share sounds like a crisis, we stop the normal flow and show crisis line information (988 in the US, local hotlines elsewhere). This is a redirect, not treatment. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

Who may use it

Adults 18 and over. Vents that indicate the speaker is a minor are declined and not stored.

Acceptable use

• No threats of violence toward others — devices that do this are banned.
• No posting of others' private information (names, workplaces of colleagues, addresses).
• No impersonation, spam, or automated bulk submission outside the documented API limits.
• Report anything that breaks these rules — every vent card has a report button.

What you share

Your raw words are kept for up to 7 days for safety review, then deleted. What remains is an anonymous, normalized situation summary and statistical fields used for matching. See the Privacy Policy for the full data handling.

Subscriptions and payments

Venting is free and stays free — the evidence and matching are not behind a paywall. Paid subscriptions add quality-of-life features. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as merchant of record — your billing relationship, receipts, and cancellation are handled through Paddle. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is." We aim for reliable matching and honest labeling (AI-generated content is always marked), but we make no warranty of fitness for any particular purpose.
